Here is a list of just SOME of the creatures that were thought to be extinct for millions of years. Surprise surprise, they have recently been found alive and well… and the same as their supposed millions of year old fossil ancestors. No evolution in those millions of years?

Coelacanth fish has been found alive off the coast of Madagascar and South East Asia.[1] This fish was thought to be the ancestor of all land animals and birds and supposedly extinct for 65 million years!

Laonastes Aenigmamus (looks like something imbetween a rat and a squirrel). According to the evolutionary timeline, this creature has been extinct for 11 million years. It was found alive and well in Laos, Asia.[2]

Genus Gracilidris (a type of ant). Fossil found in the Dominican Republic and thought to be from the upper Oligocene or lower Miocene, that is 15 – 20 million years old![3] Specimens have been found alive today. Surely if the dates are correct this ant would have gone through some evolutionary changes. Either that or the dates are totally wrong and evolution is false.

The opossum like marsupial Dromiciops gliroides was thought to be extinct for 10 million years but is alive in South America.[4]

A new species of rabbitfish (or ratfish) has been found living in the sea off the coast of southern Brazil. Lead researcher Jules Soto said “The species that we have found has fossil records that are 150, 180 million years old”[5]
